Surly's Beer Garden is open. As you might have read and seen, it will look a little different for the time being. Here’s what you can expect.

BEFORE YOU GET HERE

  • A max of 250 people at any given time. Please limit your party to 4 (6 with kids). Social distancing will be observed. It’s a giant beer garden, people. You can do this.
  • Make your reservations at the space provided, up to a month in advance. If you’re unable to reserve a spot in advance, walk up and make a reservation at the door.
  • MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY, PLEASE BRING AND WEAR ONE. We have them for sale if you forget, but no entry until you mask up. Please wear it any time you get up from your table, are not actively eating or drinking, or interacting with staff (checking you in, bringing Furious to your table, etc.).
  • Because we can’t predict the weather, all reservations default to an inside table. We’d be more than happy to seat you outside depending on weather and availability. Our host team will help you when you arrive.
  • No cash, no checks. Use any major credit or debit card.
  • If you feel even remotely sick, please stay home. We’ll be here when you’re healthy.

WHEN YOU’RE HERE

  • When you arrive, a sentry will check you in, your ID will be checked and you'll be given a wristband, and a host will seat your party.
  • Menus will be available via QR Code that you can access on your smartphone. No printed menus will be available. Free wi-fi under the Surly Guest handle. Menus are at surlybrewing.com if you want to plan your visit.
  • We’re offering tap beer. Remember tap beer? We’ve heard good things.
  • In the event of rain, we have a tent and balcony overhang to seat everyone comfortably while maintaining space.
  • We are a no-tip model restaurant. We believe in paying our hospitality staff a more equitable wage and offering benefits for full-time employees; the prices on our menu reflect this decision.  Thank you for your support.
  • We’ll still offer to-go food for the rest of the public.

FOR YOUR HEALTH (AND OURS)

  • All high-traffic/high-touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized every 30 minutes. All tables and chairs will be sanitized after a group exits. The table will indicate it’s been cleaned for the next party.
  • All staff will be wearing masks. We ask that you do the same. You don’t have to wear it when you’re eating and drinking (duh), but mask up when entering, exiting, using the restrooms, and interacting with staff. They also kind of make you look like a badass or a renegade doctor who plays by their own rules.
  • We’re following the state and public health guidelines for reopening to the letter. If those change, which they already have a couple times, we’ll change with it. Follow our social channels for any updates on hours, seating, offerings, etc.

Reservations

NOTE: Reservations in advance are strongly recommended; however, due to our extensive space, spots constantly open up during our operating hours. If you’re unable to reserve a spot in advance, walk up and make a reservation at the door. There may be a short wait during peak hours (weekends especially), but we shouldn’t have an issue seating you!

*Our kitchen closes 30 minutes after the last reservation. Last call for beer is one hour after the last reservation.
