There are places in Minnesota you have to go: The North Shore, the State Fair, First Avenue, the World’s Second Largest Ball of Twine. Surly’s Beer Hall joined this unimpeachable list of “you just gotta see this” places when it opened its doors on December 19, 2014. Our massive space is a destination for locals and travelers alike. It’s neighborhood-y enough for an after-work beer, and big enough for a thousand of your closest friends to eat and drink in the Beer Hall, Beer Garden, and Surly Pizza on any given Thursday. Think of it as a community gathering space, only our community is the entire Upper Midwest and beyond.

Beer Hall Menu
There are great breweries and there are great restaurants. Rarely do you find both at the same time. What sets Surly apart is a full kitchen with food equal to our award-winning beers. With an innovative, crowd-pleasing menu in the Beer Hall and a New Haven-style pizzeria upstairs, here’s the thing you need to know: People who don’t drink beer come here just to eat the food. That’s like going to a museum when you don’t like art, but it’s a damn fine compliment, and our kitchen team earns it every day.

To Go
Yes, you can bring Surly home with you. Get a crowler or two (or three or four, we’re not your mom) in our Beer Hall and choose from a variety of THC beverages and Hop Water in our Retail Store.
Service Charge
A service charge of 20% is added automatically to all checks. It’s used to support higher wages and benefit costs for our hospitality staff.
