Make your event a SURLY event and host it at our Minneapolis Brewery. Choose between our three unique event spaces depending on what your needs are. Our event planning team will be with you every step of the way and personally handle all the details while making sure everything goes according to plan.
Scheid Hall
Dedicated in memory of Linda Scheid, the legislator who championed the “Surly Bill” that made all this possible, Scheid Hall is a state-of-the art event space that sets the mood for a wide range of events ranging in size from 50 to 175 guests. With the perfect combination of elegant and industrial design, plus full views of our working brewhouse you and your guests are guaranteed to have a memorable experience. You will have a dedicated event planner to personally handle all the details with you to ensure everything goes according to plan for your day. You will also have an extraordinary event staff on the day of to ensure everything goes off without a hitch. Our in-house menu options will wow your guests, and don’t forget our award-winning craft beer.

Loon Room
The Loon Room proudly honors former MN State Representative Jennifer Loon, whose leadership was instrumental in passing the 2011 “Surly Bill.”
The Loon Room offers a space big enough to matter but small enough to feel personal. With room for up to 60 guests, it’s an elevated Surly experience with all the energy of our brewery right outside the door. Whether you’re planning a team celebration, midday meeting, rehearsal dinner, or just need a great spot to gather, the Loon Room is your space.
When you book your event, you will have a dedicated staff ready to handle every detail from start to finish, delivering the quality and care you’ve come to expect from Surly.

Beer Garden
Looking to spend more time outdoors during Minnesota’s warmer months? If so, look no further than our beer garden tent. This area sets the mood for an intimate and energized gathering for groups ranging in size up to 120 guests. We’ll keep things fun and casual with Surly’s award winning food and beers, all while spending quality time with your guests. It’s like hosting your own backyard party, but with less clean up and more beer. Our event planning team will personally handle the details of your event with you, making sure everything goes according to plan.

WHAT TO EAT
Hosting a private event at Surly provides you with an incredible array of food options to serve all kinds of event needs. From buffet options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, to heavy appetizers featuring grazing platters, charcuterie boards, warm dips and sliders for happy hour to platted dinners for a full sit down experience.
