The long winter is over. Probably. The Beer Garden is open. Festival Field is prepping for its biggest summer concert slate ever. We’re exposing bare skin to direct sunlight. We’re practicing karate in the garage. Summer is about to get Surly.
Here’s what we have planned for June.
SURLY CINEMA: If college kids can put a couch in the yard, we can watch movies outside. Surly Cinema returns to the Beer Garden every Wednesday this summer, with a selection of popcorn movies and summer favorites. Admission is free with boundless access to Surly beer, food, and pizza. Grab a spot on our lawn and enjoy the film. Please don’t bring couches. Showtime 7:30pm.

- June 1: Pulp Fiction. Featured menu item: Burger Royale.
- June 8: Purple Rain.
- June 15: Wargames.
- June 22: The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
- June 29: Mean Girls.
SUMMER OF SOUND: Local DJs, musicians, and tastemakers provide the soundtrack for your Thursday all summer long. Come to the Beer Garden and dance, vibe, or stand in one place while nodding your head, dads. Music plays from 6-9pm.

LIVE IN THE BEER GARDEN: Live and local music takes over the Beer Garden every Sunday night. Close out the weekend the right way. 6-8pm every Sunday unless otherwise noted.

PRIDE: We kick off Pride Month by tapping Supreme Pride, a yuzu-flavored variation on our Supreme line, on Friday, June 3rd. All profits benefit OutFront MN. OutFront’s mission is to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment, or discrimination. An OutFront representative will be here on June 3rd to raise the first glass of Supreme Pride with us.
And that’s just the warm-up act for Pride Week, June 20-26. Drag Bingo on Tuesday, Rocky Horror on Wednesday, and so much more.
DOG DAYS OF SUMMER: We’re hosting dog adoption events throughout the summer. Our first one is Saturday, June 4th with Minnesota Pit Bull Rescue. 11am-3pm in the Beer Garden.
TRIVIA: In addition to Trivia Mafia holding down the quiz game at Surly Pizza Upstairs every Tuesday, Quizmasters will host a special Pixar trivia night on Thursday, June 16th.
