This week, Surly Gives a Damn is teaming up with CLUES (Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio) for a Winter Gear Drive as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
CLUES is Minnesota’s largest Latino-led nonprofit, founded in 1981. They work to ensure the advancement of social and economic equity and wellbeing for Minnesota Latinos, with offices in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Willmar, and Austin.
Beer Hall visitors: When you arrive, you will see a giant bin. We’re asking you to bring new, youth-sized winter clothing (hats, mittens, coats, scarves, socks, etc.) and place it in said bin for the coming winter. CLUES will then distribute it to their clients. We’ll have the bin out through Sunday, October 1st. And yes, local retailers already have their winter stuff out if you need to stop at the store.
In addition, all donors will get a free beer coupon after they make their donation!
If you can’t make it to Minneapolis this week, you’re more than welcome to donate online: https://clues.salsalabs.org/SurlyCLUESDonation2023/index.html
Watch this space and Surly’s social channels for more Hispanic Heritage Month activations, including a kitchen collab we’re incredibly excited about.
