As we stare down the onset of the winter months with a steely gaze and a pair of choppers, a reminder that Winterize, Surly’s winter seasonal, is returning to stores.
This full-flavored, amber-hued lager delivers toasty notes of biscuit, honey, and caramel. Medium-bodied with a robust malt bill, it satisfies in the way a beer should when you have to deal with wind chill, ice dams, snow days, and furnace repair.
Speaking of those cold weather months, winters are hard around here, especially if you’re one of the 34 million Americans that’s food insecure. That’s why Surly Gives a Damn (our charitable arm) and Second Harvest Heartland are once again partnering to combat food insecurity. raise money, and support volunteerism in our area. Follow the QR code on the Winterize package or click here to learn more and donate to the cause. For every 12-pack of Winterize sold in market, Surly is donating $1 to Second Harvest Heartland, up to $5000.
Winterize is available on draft and in both 12 and 24-packs of 12 oz. cans to all Surly markets beginning late October/early November. It will be in market until March, or roughly until the towering pile of snow/sludge/road salt in the Eden Prairie Center parking lot melts.
