Surly entered the Arizona market roughly six months ago. Besides being welcomed with open arms and full pints, we also made friends with The Shop Beer Co., a fantastic independent craft brewer in Tempe. And when two craft breweries become friends, they make a collaboration beer. That’s just how it works, people.
As it happens, we made *two* beers with The Shop and they’ll be hitting the Arizona market shortly. They are:
Beer #1: Sinister Side DDH IPA, 7.2% ABV. Super crushable and juicy, with notes of lime, grapefruit, stone fruit, and a hint of pear. Hensley Beverage Company, our Arizona distributor, will be sending this to the AZ market. Also available at their taproom as you read this.
Beer #2: Crystal Vortex Imperial Granola Stout, 10.6% ABV. This will be mostly available for pickup at The Shop’s Tempe location with some local distribution.
