Surly Hospitality employees have completed their free and fair election on the issue of union representation, which was conducted by an independent third party. A majority of the eligible employees did not cast ballots in favor of representation by the union.
The results do not affect the Beer Hall’s stark financial reality that led to the plan and the need to close indefinitely. We’ll continue to provide guests with exceptional service and the highest safety measures until our final night of service.
While there are a lot of questions and unknowns about the future, there are a few things that are certain. We’ll continue brewing and packaging beer, innovating and changing, working in our community and supporting our accounts. You’ll find Surly on menus, shelves and tap lines. We’ll be out there giving a damn. The need to support local businesses and our neighbors is more important now than it’s ever been.
It has been a hell of a ride since we opened the Beer Hall six years ago. Thank you to Surly Nation, who have supported us and an extra thanks to all employees, past and present, who helped to bring it to life. See you drinking.
