Get Surly at The Loppet

Surly is a longtime supporter and sponsor of The Loppet Foundation. Surly Gives A Damn volunteers assist with everything from course construction to clean-up, and you can find us manning the taps in the Loppet Village at the Surly Beer Garden for attendees and competitors. Especially the competitors. This winter is no different, as Surly Gives A Damn spent some time last weekend making real, actual snow sculptures for the City of Lakes Loppet Winter Festival this coming weekend (Jan. 31-Feb. 2).

What is different is that this year’s Festival coincides with our inaugural Furious48 Weekend. (Details here.) Furious48 passport holders can hit up the Surly Beer Garden at the Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park and/or the Luminary Loppet at Lake of the Isles, order a Furious, and get their passport stamped. In addition, the first 20 people to do so at each event will get that Furious free of charge.

Here are the hours of operation and pouring lists at both the Trailhead and the Luminary Loppet:

Trailhead:

  • Friday, 5-830pm
  • Saturday, 10am-5pm
  • Sunday, 10am-3pm
  • Pouring list: Furious, Hell, Scrillionaire, Fall to Pieces

Luminary:

  • Saturday: 6-9pm
  • Pouring list: Furious, Xtra, Scrillionaire, Fall to Pieces

Today, we’ve learned an employee has tested positive and we will be temporarily closing the beer hall, inside and outside.
