Culture Collab is a true collaboration of ideas, flavors, and craft with our friends at New Belgium Brewing, the gold standard for barrel-aged sour beers in the U.S.

This American sour ale features wort fermented with New Belgium’s classic “Felix” culture–the oldest souring culture maintained in the United States–then blended with wort fermented with Surly’s house cultures. We place the result in virgin oak and red wine barrels along with whole blueberries.

The finished product is golden-amber, delightfully complex, and mildly tart. Expect wine-like notes of peach, oak, green grass, and vanilla, with a dry, fruit-tannin finish from the extended aging on blueberry skins.
