Surly turns 20 this year. That’s a big effing deal! In an ever-evolving industry like ours, two decades is a real accomplishment.
We would never have reached this landmark without the unwavering support of the Surly community–craft beer drinkers, metalheads, soccer moms, minivan dads, weird uncles, party aunts, middle managers, BC Taproom regulars–far and wide.
That’s why, as we celebrate this milestone throughout 2026, this one is all about them. Taproom-era favorites, fan-curated variety packs, even XTRA-CITRA? Hell yeah. Read all about it.
Surly Gives a Damn (SGAD) is our charitable arm. It’s our way of giving back to the communities that built us. We contribute to organizations that make our part of the world a better place to live, through donations, partnerships and volunteer events. Our volunteers are a vital, passionate bunch, and they really do give a damn. You’re more than welcome to join. We’d love to have you.

The community really, really, REALLY showed up last week for our Food & Funds Drive to benefit Keystone Community Services and the work they’re doing getting supplies to families who can’t leave home right now.

We know this because when we showed up with a full box truck this morning, one of their volunteers simply said, “Whoa.”
ㅤ
Here’s what you all did, by the numbers:

9,329 pounds of food and supplies.

That’s over four and a half tons.

That’s just a hell of a lot of food and supplies.

We also raised close to $2000 in funds that will go directly to this effort.

Whether you brought in a trunk full of goods or a couple boxes of mac and cheese, thank you for coming through for your neighbors. They need every last bit of help we can offer.

An easy-drinking, low-ABV pale ale with the hop kick of IPAs twice its size, Xtra-Citra’s bright, citrusy notes of grapefruit and pineapple were sorely missed. It goes to all Surly markets in February on draft and in 4, 6, and 12-packs. (And yes, it will be with the original can/logo.)

Please join us this week in action. Surly Gives A Damn has set up a FOOD & FUNDS drive at the beer hall benefitting Keystone Community Services, a local nonprofit food shelf. On Wednesday & Thursday this week, 15% of your check at the Beer Hall and Pizza Upstairs will be donated directly to support the work Keystone is doing right now. Come eat, drink and do some good in the process.

In addition, from now through Sunday, we’re running a food drive at the beer hall. Come in, drop off food, and we’ll give you a free beer ticket for the beer hall. All food will be delivered by us to Keystone early next week.

Everyone deserves food. But what do you do when you need help and can`t leave your home?
When someone cannot leave their home, hunger does not wait. That is why Keystone brings food directly to the community through their Foodmobile, Free Farmers Markets, and Grocery Delivery programs.
