HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? Your in-laws just showed up unannounced. Passing through town on their way to Branson or the casino with "the good slots." And, being a good host and better spouse, you have to feed them.

The next time it happens, have a new Blackstone griddle at the ready along with your Furious IPA. Win one as part of our Grill Furiously promotion, along with a custom Yeti Furious cooler. And you're going to need the cooler. Link in bio!
We're one week out from the 17nd (don't ask) Annual Surly Open, the brewery's longest running event (yes, even longer than Darkness Day). Our yearly disc golf extravaganza returns to Blue Ribbon Pines in East Bethel, and it's always a blast. Registration info in our bio or just paste this link into your browser:
Look for us at the first-ever Hemp Beverage Festival at @minneapoliscider tomorrow from 1-6pm! Ticket info in bio or just paste this link into your browser:
Last week @jadebirdmusic got the summer party started in the beer garden with a Happy Hour from @thecurrent. Summer of Sound continues TONIGHT with free live music from @mmyykkvibes 7-8:30pm. See you there!
News you can use in the @startribune’s Variety section today: Check out the back page for a full rundown of our Summer of Sound programming, Festival Field concerts, and Darkness Day music lineup! It’s ideal for clipping, saving, and hanging on the fridge with a magnet from the insurance agency that sponsored your softball team in 2005.
Do you make a “yeeeeeeupppp” noise when you stand up? Do you have some hard opinions about lawnmower brands? Did you just back into that parking spot?

Congratulations. You’re a Dad.

This Father’s Day, exit the minivan and enter Surly’s 2nd Annual Battle of the Dads, a relay competition where you and your fellow Dads compete in various Dad Skill Challenges* in our Beer Garden.

Winners will receive fabulous Surly prizes, and all entrants and attendees can enjoy the music of All Tomorrow’s Petty, America’s best Tom Petty tribute band, when the competition ends.

Put down that book about World War II and register at the link in our bio! Walk-ins welcome as well.

$25 to play. Free to attend and gently criticize Dad's effort level, form, mindset, etc.
Prizes: Gift cards, swag, beers, an immense feeling of pride.
Register in advance or day-of.

*Talking about the weather with your fellow Dads, while obviously something that needs to be done, is not one of them. We encourage you to discuss whether this rain is necessary before or after the event.
This weekend, remember to visit “your guy” at the meat counter/butcher shop. Their name is either Ed or Frankie. You're pretty sure they’ve been there since the store was built. Maybe before.

Once that mission is complete, grab some Furious and visit our website for information on how to win a Blackstone Griddle and custom Furious Yeti cooler.
Much like Darkness Day, tomorrow's 18th Anniversary Party is an all-day, all-ages blowout. Show up any time between open and close, and there will be something cool, memorable, or deeply weird going on, preferably all at once. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Here is a rough timeline to instigate your Surly-versary experience:
