Frost Advisory

Seasons change. Summer turns to fall. Your buddy Kyle who wears shorts all the time begrudgingly wears jeans for the first time since April. Our Frost Pack eases the transition.

The fourth Surly variety pack of 2019 features our Furious and Xtra flagships, a returning favorite from 2018, and a fresh new beer we’ve previewed to much acclaim at Festival Field and a handful of beer festivals across the region.

THE NEW KID

Dark Phase: An easy-drinking stout with all the character you want paired with lighter body. Roastiness and a pleasant, milk chocolate-like sweetness are in perfect balance, with a smooth, satisfying finish. Contains lactose.

ABV: 5.5%

Hops: Warrior

Malt: Golden Promise, Aromatic, Crystal, Chocolate, Black Malt, Roasted Barley

Guest star: Lactose

Pour: Bright black/opaque

Aromatics: Chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar

ROUND TWO

Liquid Stardust: This crisp, festive sparkling IPA was the hit of last year’s Frost Pack and returns for another season. Galactic waves of hop flavor and aromatics pack a celebratory punch, while the clean, dry finish begs for another sip. For champagne style on a beer budget, Liquid Stardust is the ideal choice.

Malt: Pilsner, Acidulated, Carafoam

Pour: Dark yellow

Bitterness: Medium

The Frost Pack is available to all Surly markets beginning the week of Sept. 16.
