Dedicated in memory of Linda Scheid, the legislator who championed the “Surly Bill” that made all of this possible, Scheid Hall is a state-of-the-art meeting and event center with a total capacity of 175 guests, depending on the type of function desired. With a full spectacular view of our working brewhouse and the industrial Minneapolis skyline, it’s a unique space well suited to a wide range of events.

The Loon Room proudly honors former MN State Representative Jennifer Loon, whose leadership was instrumental in passing the 2011 “Surly Bill.”  That landmark change allowed Minnesota breweries to finally sell beer directly to guests on-site.  Without it, there would be no Minneapolis destination brewery and no private event spaces like this one.

With room for up to 60 guests, it’s an ideal private space for groups who want an elevated Surly experience with all the energy of our brewery right outside the door.

We’ll keep things fun and casual with Surly’s award winning food and beers all while spending quality time with your guests in Minnesota’s most popular months. It’s like hosting your own backyard party, but with less clean up and more beer.
