Demand, meet supply. The craft beer world’s bottomless desire for IPAs and hop-forward beers shows no signs of abating. Surly shares that thirst, and our latest variety pack is primed to quench it. Hop-heavy flagships Furious and Xtra-Citra are joined by two new contenders for cooler space this summer.
Rocket Surgery
A question our brewers have kept coming back to during the hazy IPA phenomenon: What if you could make a beer with the juicy hop flavor and aromatics of a legit haze bomb, but knocked down the ABV to make it a little more approachable? It’s brewing, not rocket surgery. OK, it is Rocket Surgery, but it was totally worth it. This hazy ale showcases an abundance of Citra and Simcoe hops in an uncomplicated, easy-drinking style.
The fine print:
- ABV: 5.5%
- Hops: Citra, Simcoe
- Aromatics: Mango, papaya, orange
Dots and Loops
This new-school IPA leans on Amarillo, Simcoe, and Cascade hops for notes of orange, pineapple, and mango. The fruit-forward flavor and bright finish offset Surly’s trademark hoppiness in a way that might throw you for a (wait for it…wait for it…) loop.
The fine print:
- ABV: 6.7%
- Hops: Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade
- Aromatics: Orange, pineapple, mango
The Hop Pack is in stores now and available to all Surly markets.
