Keystone Community Services Food Distribution Event

Come on out and Give A Damn with Keystone Community Services. We will help pack and distribute fresh foods and grocery staples for Keystone’s food distribution event. SGAD is looking for 30 folks to help. So please tell all your friends and neighbors about it!

Keystone Community Services is a nonprofit working to improve the quality of life of individuals, families, seniors and youth.

During the first part of the shift, volunteers will be tasked with assembling produce and dry goods bags. All of the produce and dry goods will come loose, so we will need to bag them and get them ready for distribution. Then around 9:45 am, volunteers will be assigned to distribution roles – directing traffic, greeting participants, helping with sign-in, and loading the food into participants’ vehicles. Volunteers will help with the distribution for the remainder of their shift.

*  This event is very similar to the drive-through events hosted in the summer, except the distribution takes place in a large building. The building holds all of the snow plow and winter equipment for the City of Roseville. It has massive garage doors that allows our staff and volunteers to stay covered from snow and precipitation while allowing for a drive-through model. This is an active volunteer event! Volunteers must be able to lift 20 pounds.
