Most of you are familiar with our Tuesday cask program at the Beer Hall. Some of you aren’t. All of you will learn something from this.
Every Tuesday, our brewers bring us a cask-conditioned beer in a 10-gallon firkin (and if you don’t know what a cask-conditioned beer or a firkin are, well, here you go). Oftentimes they’ll put a spin on one of our flagship or seasonal beers, experimenting with dry-hopping and different flavors (recent favorites have included Todd with Mango and Habanero, and Cynic with Peaches, aged on White Oak). We tap it when the doors open at 11 AM. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
To help you better plan your Tuesdays, here is what’s on cask this month:
May 2: Barrel-Aged Darkness, aged on Red Oak with Cherries
May 9: Furious, dry-hopped with Warrior, Ahtanum, Cascase, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops
May 16: Dampfbier
May 23: Hopshifter #9, tea-bagged with Citra hops and a grapefruit addition
May 30: Yoyodyne, tea-bagged with Glacier & Cascade hops
