Pentagram is our dark sour ale, fermented on Brett and aged in red wine barrels for 18 months. What Barrel-Aged Pentagram does is take it one step beyond.
After its 18 months are up, this Pentagram is moved from the wine barrel to the rye whiskey barrel, where it sits and thinks about what it’s done for eight more months. After 26 months, it’s finally (finally!) ready for you.
What you can expect: The classic Pentagram profile of sour cherry, oak, tobacco, and Brett funk, balanced by the Dark Munich malt. The eight months spent in High West rye whiskey barrels bolsters and layers the aromatics. It’s a remarkable take on a sour beer.
