The Unholy Trinity

Beer Hall, Beer Release, Minneapolis Brewery, Minnesota

We don’t do flights. It gets busy in the Beer Hall, it can be a pain in the ass with all the planks and glasses, and really, just think of all the extra dishes. Do you want to do all the dishes? No, you don’t.

So anyway, we’re doing flights tonight. Hear us out.

It’s Valentine’s Day. I mean, it’s right on the calendar. Have you been to Target? All the hearts and stuff? We suggest you scrap the chocolates, come on down to the Beer Hall with your (date/life partner/own damn self), and have our Unholy Trinity flight. These three Belgian-style ales beat the hell out of carnations in the following ways:

  • Cynic—our flagship saison/pale ale, with notes of lemon and black pepper and a dry, tingly finish.
  • Sardonic—in which we finish Cynic with Brett, giving a funky kick to the citrus and pepper flavors.
  • Misanthrope—in which we take Sardonic and age it in white wine barrels for 3-6 months. The complexity is heightened, with oak, pineapple, funk, and wine notes all in the mix.

If Belgians aren’t your thing, we also have a cask of vanilla-infused Darkness and our barrel-aged Darkness on tap. Everything pairs with a beet salad.

Pretty good Tuesday night, if you ask us.
