Surly is all about the beer. But as you know, there’s more to us than that. We are passionate about food, art, givin’ a damn about our community, gettin’ outside and being active and importantly, music. And we want to share that passion with Surly Nation on a big scale. That’s why we are introducing Surly Brewing Festival Field, an area next to our Destination Brewery (where SurlyFest takes place) where we can host awesome musical acts in the spring, summer, and fall with a beer in hand.
The inaugural show at the Surly Brewing Festival Field is in conjunction with First Avenue & 7th St Entry, and we will welcome the mega indie-folk ensemble Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to town on Friday, May 20, who’ll be supported by New Orleans’ finest, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Attending the show this week? Awesome! Things are kicking off around 6pm and we’re excited to see you. This is our first gig, so we wanna make sure you all have what you need to know to #GetSurly:
