If you live in Minnesota, you’ve no doubt heard that the Minnesota House is proposing to increase the beer excise tax from $4.60/barrel to $27.75/barrel. This has understandably stirred a lot of debate and discussion so we wanted to weigh in with our stance and clarify the points of the issue.

At the present time, Surly Brewing is not hiring. If we have an opening, this is where we will post it.
Internships & Volunteering – Surly is not presently offering any opportunities for interning or volunteering at the brewery. We appreciate the interest from individuals, but at the present time, we do not have enough supervisory staff to properly oversee help from individuals wanting to learn about brewing. Omar interned at a brewery and learned that having people intern but not having the time to teach is frustrating for both parties.
